How to become a member

Choose one of the two eligibility routes below. Our Secretariat can guide you through verification and registration.

Purchase share capital from an existing verified member

You may acquire shares directly from a member who wishes to transfer. All transfers must be verified and approved by the Society before payment is made.

Family legacy route

Present original documentation showing that a family member was part of the Society at its formation. The Secretariat will advise on required proofs and next steps.

Important notice

To protect yourself from fraud, please do not purchase any share capital without prior verification and written confirmation from the official Samuru Gituto Cooperative team.

What you’ll need
  • National ID (original + copy)
  • Passport photo (recent)
  • Proof of residence / collection centre
  • For family route: proof of relation + original historic membership documents

  • Share transfer processing: typically 3–5 working days
  • Registration & records update: typically within 5–10 working days
